The Beers' 2006 Season
First of all, congrats to everybody, I think we had a really fun season, regardless of what our record says. Also congrats to Mike D for a fine job as manager (and founder). Secondly... The 2005 season may have just ended, but it's never too early to start thinking about next year. I've got a baseball right next to my computer that I'm constantly fooling around with. Anyway, I made this thread so we can discuss the next Beers season, which I expect will kick all sorts of ass and be exponentially better than this season (and I think this season was really fun, so that's saying something). I think we had a really nice team, so I hope ALL of you will be back next year. Our team this year definitely performed as less than the sum of its parts, but I think by next spring we should be a much more competitive team. This year we had flashes of brilliance in every category; all we need to do next year is get a little more consistency :D I'm doing this on behalf of our manager, by the way, I think he wanted me to do this. But yeah, I guess the first order of business would be figuring out a league for next year... Personally I'm fine with the one we were in this year, despite its flaws, but apparently it will not exist next year, at least not in the form it took this year. So we have to figure that out. Then we have to figure out other stuff, and all that kind of thing. So just talk about next season or what we could improve over this past season (obviously a lot, in terms of W-L record). It's a learning experience, you know.

Latest news is that the Zone Baseball League won't exist next season. At least not as it did. They're trying to figure out who is going to run it and stuff like that (any volunteers?).
